Yippee!
I know the Twins lost 3 to the Yanks including Thursday's game, but I am still happy today.
Yesterday, the Minnesota Board of Legal Examiners published the results of the July 2004 bar examination. This was a day that I had been waiting for since I took the test. It was a long wait -- over two months -- but yesterday was the day. And, the news was good.
My fiancee and I went out for a good dinner last night and we met up with some of my law school friends to celebrate. It was a lot of fun and a tremendous weight off my mind.
I'm headed to the Twins games on Saturday and Sunday. I'll have more to say about Our Favorite Nine next week. But for now, I'm gonna punt on a new baseball story. (Punt? On a baseball story? I wiffed on that analogy!)
I didn't get through three years of law school and the bar alone. I had a lot of help and support. Both Mom and Dad were tremendously helpful. They each listened to my frustrations and challenges with respect to law school and they never failed to support me. My siblings helped out a lot. My sis let me live with her for a couple of weeks when I first moved here and she invited me over for well-appreciated dinners the first year and a half until she moved away. I miss her and her family. My brothers listened to the stories about law school and were always there to talk about anything when I needed to get my mind off of it all. My aunt and uncle who live here in the cities were around and supportive. And of course, my fiancee, who was with me through almost the whole time, was extremely patient when I spent almost every weekend studying. I love you all!
Have a good weekend. I'll work on a playoff prediction and get that out before they start.
Big congrats on the bar passing. I know it's stressful. My dad just passed, or re-passed I guess. He took it in Indiana, and he just now took it in Iowa after the move. I thought it was stressful twice and I wasn't even taking it. So, only the biggest congratulations for you accomplishment.
